Behind the Brand: FitLiving Eats

#1 HOSTESS TIP FOR PLANNING A PARTY: Buy ready-made food but give it a healthy, fresh twist by adding anything fresh. SO, buy some stuffed mushrooms and then chop up some parsley to sprinkle on top. My secret to throwing a successful party is go semi-homemade. Store-bought food can be fancied up and given a healthy twist by adding fresh herbs and citrus zest! One of my go-to appetizers is to buy already prepared hummus and stuff mushrooms with it. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley and you’ve got a crowd-pleaser that takes no time at all.

FAVORITE SKINNY COCKTAIL: Vodka and club soda infused with mint and cucumber. This time of year, I’m craving anything that’s light and fresh. My go-to cocktail lately is a spa take on the classic club soda and vodka by adding fresh cucumber slices and muddled mint leaves!

BEST GO-TO WEEKNIGHT MEAL WHEN FRIENDS ARE COMING OVER: Black bean spinach enchiladas (the most pinned recipe on my blog!). Girls night in callS FOR easy (healthy) comfort foods.

MY FAVORITE LINENS TO USE WHEN HAVING A DINNER PARTY: Lettermade linens are a MUST for any party tablescape! I love the look of the classic white dinner napkin (they are easy to clean and highlight the food on the plate!) with the Adeline monogram in Carolina Blue for a pop of color!

WHEN I GIVE MYSELF A CHEAT DAY, I INDULGE ON: The Widowmaker pizza and Italian citrus cocktail from Prato in Winter Park, FL, hands down.

FAVORITE MEAL TO MAKE ON THE WEEKEND: By the time the weekend rolls around, I’m ready for my sweats and a glass of red wine. I’ll usually whip up a super simple meal like this 15-minute vegan pumpkin mac n’ cheese (good for all year long!).

FAVORITE FAMOUS FOODIE OR CELEBRITY CHEF: Growing up, my favorite chef to watch on the Food Network was Giada De Laurentils. I loved her classic style with a modern twist! The past few years, I’ve explored plant-based cooking, with my most recent adventure being a month-long raw, vegan culinary school in Los Angeles started by Matthew Kenney, celebrity chef and innovator in plant-based cuisine.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, MY SIGNATURE DISH I'D BRING TO ANY PARTY: This pineapple mango guacamole. It will be gone in two seconds, so double up!
